Conference "Energetic Autonomy of a house, district, community and region"

The conference "Energetic Autonomy of a house, district, community and region" was held in the beginning of September 2011, in Wroclaw, organized by Free Entrepreneurship Association under the patronage of Jerzy Buzek, President of the European Parliament, and Rafał Jurkowlaniec, the Marshall of Lower Silesia Voivodeship . Its main subject was the problem of growing need to develop energy efficient units, such as houses, districts or even whole regions. Such an approach is crucial because of the shrinking resources of oil, main source of energy, which is expected to be fully exploited by the middle of the century. Experts from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Japan and Poland presented their best practices, such as energy sufficient districts  in Malmö, Güssing or twin cities Linkping and Norrkping. Different solutions of increasing energy efficiency were discussed. It was also  a good occasion to share the idea of Cool Bricks project.
