Professional forum "Sustainable quarters‘ development: ambitious refurbishment and design of buildings"

The event with about 70 participants took place on Thursday, 17.11.2011, from 10.00 to 13.00 o’clock in the lecture hall of the fair “Stadt-Land-Umwelt - Schleswig-Holstein” (Town-Country-Environment - Schleswig-Holstein) in Ostseekai, Wall, 24103 Kiel.After the greeting of the mayor Todeskino the Kiel Model Project „Gartenstadt Elmschenhagen Nord“ was presented in charge free professional forum of the Environment Protection Office of the state capital Kiel in cooperation with ZEBAU GmbH. In this project combined consulting and funding program for energy efficient refurbishment of historic and monumental buildings for a living quarters in Kiel was developed and implemented. The model refurbishment concept developed for the dominating type of house was presented together with the first implemented refurbishment measures. Besides practical examples of successful refurbishments of buildings constructed around 1870-es were presented as well as know-hows regarding materials and methods in interior insulation of preservation worthy facades. There was possibility to ask questions to certain reports and to discuss those. The visit of the fair “Stadt-Land-Umwelt ” (Town-Country-Environment) was free of charge in case of participation in professional forum.
