Co2ol Bricks visits conference "European Territorial Cooperation - Experiences and Perspectives"

On 25th October Wroclaw held big and very important conference organized by Polish Ministry of Regional Development –“"European Territorial Cooperation - Experiences and Perspectives". Event, which took place in the Mercury Hotel, hosted the representatives of many cross-border projects implemented in Poland, including the European Foundation for Monuments Protection with presentation of the Co2ol Bricks project.

The goal of the Conference was a summary of the achievements of cross-border programs in Poland, presentation of best practices in the implementation of ETC and perspective for new budget period 2014 – 2020.
During the first presentation, figures represent the results achieved in the implementation of ETC Poland were presented. It shows, that mostly 90% of ETC founds are contracted, which translates to 1000 projects and more than 4500 micro-projects implemented in 10 programs. Some of them have already been completed and among those, the Ministry has chosen the 4 most unique ones that were presented later in the conference and fighting for the votes of the guests, who participated in the selection of the most interesting project implemented in Poland.
Middle part of the Conference was filed with discussion on the future of cross-border cooperation instruments and their funding in the upcoming budget perspective 2014-2020 lead by representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development, the European Commission and the programs management.


In addition to the presentation of four selected projects, representatives of others projects could put a presentation of their project in the foyer of the Congress Hall. PP16 – Foundation placed there Co2ol Bricks promotional materials and presentation of the project. Guests of the conference could get information on the achievements of the project and receive promotional materials (Leaflets in Polish and English, Interim brochure and promotional CD). Representatives of Foundation also invited participants to complete surveys on the problem of increasing the energy efficiency of monuments.

The presence of representatives of the Co2ol Bricks project proved to be very accurate, because it turned out that it was the only project in the Baltic Sea Region Programme, which was present at this conference, despite the fact that in Poland is carried out nearly 80 projects in this program.
